I have made it to the BlogHerFood 2012 blogger conference in Seattle! I am super excited to be here to learn all I can about blogging, improve my (currently mediocre) food photography and meet lots of great people! There are tons of fabulous bloggers here to share their skills.
In particular, I can’t wait to hear from Joy the Baker. She has such a fun blog and just wrote an awesome cookbook, “Joy the Baker.” I told my husband Brice that meeting her is like meeting a Hollywood celebrity in my mind. So fingers crossed! 🙂
Other fun folks coming to town are Anita from Dessert First and Jenna from eat, live, run. Anita’s blog is filled with amazing pictures of incredible desserts – it is basically what I would love both my food and photos to look like. She also has a quarterly magazine for food lovers that just came out called Sated. I can’t wait for my first issue to arrive.
I just started reading eat, live, run and totally love it. She has fabulous recipes like Whole Wheat Butternut Squash Pancakes. That might sound a little weird to some people. But to me, that is basically everything I love. If you missed it, I wrote a blog post about my love of anything squash related last fall. And I pretty much am obsessed with pancakes. Using whole wheat flour just makes me feel less guilty for scarfing down 20+ pancakes at a time, so I like that part too!
Anyways, off to bed as the 2 days of blogging shenanigans begin tomorrow morning!
Lots of details and (hopefully much improved) pictures about the event coming soon!
