The other day, after our dishwasher bit the dust (ugh, who knew dishwashers were so expensive?!), my husband and I were having a conversation of household duties. Brice somewhat awkwardly said “I know you say you do, but I just want to check, you actually like making dinner, right?” I laughed, we’ve been together for so long now, I figured he would of course know I love to cook. But truth of the matter is, some days cooking is just not in the cards. With working in Hillsboro and hitting the gym in the evenings, starting to make dinner at 8pm doesn’t often sound appealing.

I am on the continual look out for cute coffee shop/sandwich joints. I don’t know if it’s because working from home has made me more inclined to pop into places like that to work for the day or for an afternoon break. But I am a big fan of anywhere with delicious food and a cozy, casual atmosphere. Enter Milk Glass Mrkt.
Its North Portland size is quaint but charming, from the modern design and big windows overlooking the west-end of Killingsworth to the cute marketplace filled with Woodblock chocolate, housemade granola and other treats.
Hello and happy October! Fall is now officially upon us!
While it may be time for pumpkin-spiced everything, we are still getting some fabulous weather out here so don’t pull out the rain boots just yet. With the blue skies on the forecast, the beautiful changing leaves and grape harvest in action, this is the perfect time for another trip to wine country.
My friends and I are taking advantage of all that with a trip to Dundee for a tour of Dobbes Estate and Hyland Estates this Sunday. I have never been to either, so I’m really excited to check out somewhere new. As there will likely be a lot of wine drinking, it’s a good thing we’ve to Bridge City Limos to help us get home safely! I have no doubt we will take full advantage of that DD…
