One of my favorite aspects of Portland in the summertime is that everything seems to come alive. Everyone gets out for any occasion – dining alfresco, hiking, picnicking, aimlessly wandering around our beautiful city. There are so many events that happen during June to September, it’s hard to keep track or not have a rough case of FOMO while doing something else equally as fun. We really make sure to soak up the sun while it’s here.
Below are a few recommended events and activities that I’m looking forward to this summer. What’s on your list?
Hit up mini golf at the 19th Hole pop up at Hotel DeLuxe: Wed-Sun evenings all summer long!
Although I’m pretty terrible at golf, I’m still into the putt putt idea. I dig that Hotel DeLuxe has added a fun activity downtown where you can chat with friends, drink canned beer, and eat some course-side snacks.
Sample ciders at the annual Cider Summit: June 17-18th
While everyone else in this city might be hitting up the beer fests, this is my favorite adult beverage festival of the year. I am a huge cider fan and I love this Cider Summit held in the Pearl District’s Fields Park, with over 150 ciders being served.
Grab a drink at the Tacos + Tequila popup: Wed-Sun evenings all summer long!
Who doesn’t want to spend a sunny evening on the waterfront sipping on a delicious Spicy Strawberry Margarita?! Three Degrees Restaurant has set up an outdoor bar and grill along the Harborside Marina walkway, with two fun-loving employees making drinks, slinging tacos and cracking jokes.
Enjoy a gorgeous evening at Anne Amie’s Counter Culture: July 28th
I will be hiking around Bryce Canyon and Zion in Utah during this year’s Counter Culture, otherwise I would definitely be at this outstanding food and wine event with 14 participating wineries and 15 local restaurants serving up delicious eats and drinks, amidst one of the prettiest views in the state. Read more from my 2014 post.
Stuff your face at Feast Portland: Sept 15-18th
If you read this blog, you’ve heard me rave about this event plenty. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just give my previous years’ coverage a read and then buy tickets ASAP.
Dine al Fresco!
Read last week’s post about all the great places to eat outside!

I need to chek out 19th Hole- I haven’t been yet. And I’ll see you at Feast! 😉

GAH: I might be out of town for Counter Culture AGAIN! I have yet to go and it’s one that I really want to attend! Hoping I can make it, and to 19th Hole because I also keep having conflicts that keep me from their events. What a fun list of events! Portland is the best in summertime 🙂

I’m in complete denial that it is summer, but going to 19th hole is high on my list!
