Every year during the winter, this downtown Portland restaurant offers the perfect holiday activity. The majority of the tables are set up in the Tea Court Lounge, beautifully decorated with garland, ornaments and a large Christmas tree, which look even more gorgeous next to the space’s marble fireplace and incredible hand-cut chandelier.
Delicious food awaits. We pretty much all agreed on the non-dessert favorites: the buttermilk current scone and the chicken salad panini inside a grilled pita.
The dessert selections we couldn’t quite agree on. I thought the homemade marshmallow was fantastic – fluffy, rich vanilla flavor and sweetened lightly by the powdered sugar coating, but a couple of the girls thought it was a bit too sweet. 
A few thought the Lemon Bar made with fresh lemon curd and a flaky shortbread pastry was the best. Being the chocoholic I am, I also was partial to the Devil’s Food Chocolate Tea Cupcake made with a cream cheese frosting. So tasty! It’s ok to not be able to make up your mind- everyone at the table gets one mini sample of each!
