How is it the end of April already?! Eesh, this year is going quickly.
I’m off to Atlanta to celebrate one of my best friend’s 30th birthday! We have a lot of fun stuff on the agenda including of course lots of food. I have never been to Georgia, with the exception of the airport which really doesn’t count. It should be a great weekend!
What are you up to this weekend?
To round out April, I thought I’d share some of my favorite photos from this past month. If you don’t already, follow me on Instagram to view more!
We won the #100OpenTables dinner at Ava Gene’s! That meant I got to enjoy a 5-course dinner with wine pairings at one of my favorite restaurants with five of my favorite people. Such a fun night. {More to come on that soon – promise!}
I took my mom on a Forktown Food Tour on Mississippi Ave to celebrate her birthday. It was such a wonderful and delicious way to spend time with her!
I also introduced my mom to Blue Star and now she is obsessed. I also learned Barista makes their own mini chocolate chip cookies. And they are delightful!
Brice and I checked out the beautiful flowers at the Tulip Festival on our way back from Eugene.
I couldn’t pass up an invitation to John & Renee Gorham’s new event space, Plaza Del Toro. I attended with some other lovely ladies. We even got to pop bottles with Renee and greet everyone in the hallway with a loud “woo!” Yes, we were the Woo Girls that night. {Please watch that clip from How I Met Your Mother if you haven’t seen it!}
I co-hosted my very first bakery tour! It was an amazing day! I am so grateful to Heidi at Forktown Food Tours and all the great bakeries on our tour – Glyph, Nuvrei, Palace Cakes, Pearl Bakery, Little T Bakers and Quin Candy – for making a dream come true! Can’t wait to do another one.
Finally went over to Woodlawn Coffee & Pastry with a few friends after a sunny walk around North Portland. What a sweet coffee shop. I really need to go back!
I had to travel a lot but one of the pluses was getting to spend some time with my dear friend from college, Sarah, her husband and their adorable munchkin Max. He is a gem.

It has been quite a busy April for you! I love the idea having your own tours that you give, and glad to hear it wasn’t just a one time special event. I hope while you’re in Georgia you get some great Southern food and the Coca Cola museum in Atlanta was more fun than anticipated. I look forward to continued stalking of the fun and delicious on your Instagram!
