I fell in love with Little T’s baguettes when I frequented the Addy’s Sandwich Bar on a weekly basis (ok, it was sometimes more than that). Something about a piece of bread with a crunchy crust and fluffy interior just makes me so happy. These little baguettes were the perfect piece of carb for some quality sandwich ingredients.
Little T’s original location was basically a trendsetter, they were on SE Division before the busy street was the hot spot for every new restaurant. Fantastic cookies, pastries, and of course their top-notch selection of breads, there was nothing that I didn’t want to eat.
The only problem was they were too far away from me. Working out in Hillsboro, there is a slim chance that I’ll make it to SE Portland before 5pm when they close during the week. And weekends, I usually try to not get in the car (the luxury of living downtown!). So I sadly didn’t go to Little T as often as I’d like.
But now all of my problems are solved! Little T has made its way across the river and landed just down the street! Hooray!
Their westside location is located in the new Union Way, a unique indoor-shopping-mall-esque space in the hip West End. Entrances are still a little hidden but can be found next to the Buffalo Exchange (where Aura used to be) on SW Burnside and next to the Sand Bar/Fish Grotto on SW Stark. Walk down the bright hallway and you’ll find all sorts of fun shops: Quin Candy (brought to you by Jami Curl of Saint Cupcake), Danner, Spruce Apothecary, and now Little T.
Their space may be small with only 2 two-top tables, but they still have all of the important items – freshly baked baguettes, salty pretzel rolls, flaky croissants and an assortment of sandwiches.
My current favorites are the Kouign Amann, a rich buttery pastry with a sprinkle of sea salt and the Granola Date Bar, you could almost pretend this is a healthy breakfast option – not too sweet and topped with a light streusel.
Stop in for a very European breakfast of a baguette or croissant and some Coava coffee or pot of T Project tea, and trust me you’ll have an amazing day.

Thanks! It makes me really happy to hear you’re enjoying my blog! There are definitely a lot of great places in Portland!
