What to Do This Summer in PDX

One of my favorite aspects of Portland in the summertime is that everything seems to come alive. Everyone gets out for any occasion – dining alfresco, hiking, picnicking, aimlessly wandering around our beautiful city. There are so many events that happen during June to September, it’s hard to keep track or not have a rough case of FOMO while doing something else equally as fun. We really make sure to soak up the sun while it’s here.

Well, now that we’ve hit over 100 degrees twice this month, I’d say we have officially made it to summer!

Plus summer = beautiful sunrises

Dining outside is one of my favorite ways to enjoy the warmer weather. Just picture a nice breeze of fresh air while you sip on a crisp glass of rose, overlooking the beautiful views of Mt Hood and the Willamette River. That sounds spectacular, doesn’t it?!

Assuming the weather cooperates (c’mon Oregon!!), I’ll be hitting up the opening of 19th Hole, the amazingly fun summer pop-up putt putt at Hotel Deluxe (read more from last year’s post). And then getting in delicious eats at places like Ava Gene’s with my friend Michelle who’s back in town visiting.
