Feast 2017 was another fantastic year.

Perhaps my favorite Feast year in fact. I know, that’s a bold statement, especially as I’ve been lucky enough to attend all prior years. But it is quite possibly true.

These pecan sticky buns from Petunia’s Pies & Pastries at Because Breakfast were top notch.

I got to attend 3 Fun-Size Events which are my new obsession. With only 200 guests at those events, they are much smaller than the Main Events like Smoked, which equals less crowds and less stressing to get in line, and more time for relaxing and chatting with your companions. Feast Portland • September 14-17th

Feast Portland is almost upon us! If you were behind the times and didn’t buy tickets when they were released a few months back, don’t fret! A few events still have spots available including Friday’s massive Grand Bounty main event, Because Breakfast and Pizza and Burgers fun-sized events, and some of the educational classes and drink tank panels where you get to learn stuff and drink stuff at the same time! Don’t forget Portland’s biggest food and drink festival also supports a great cause, raising over $300,000 for Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon. Want to know more? The Countdown Begins to Feast 2017

Well hey there, summer. I’ve missed you. Sunshine, patio parties, hiking, rose, dining outside, soaking up all the vitamin D we’ve been lacking for months – these are all my favorite seasonal things.

One of my other favorite summer activities is Feast Portland, the four days when excessively stuffing your face with incredible food and drink is not only acceptable but encouraged. The food festival is now entering year 6 (jeez, time flies…). From the marquee events like Night Market and Smoked, to educational series on wines and hands-on cooking classes, to specialty small dinners with top chefs from around the world, there’s no wrong way to Feast.
