While I’m eating my way through Rome, it seemed only fitting to have a post on Nel Centro, one of the best Italian restaurants in Portland. While it is in Hotel Modera, don’t be fooled into thinking this bland hotel food. Nel Centro makes pastas from scratch, fun cocktails and other Northern Italian inspired dishes like their house staple, beet and arugula salad with baked ricotta and toasted hazelnuts. Well it definitely seems like summer has been here for quite some time. Thank you, global warming! Now that that heatwave is over, it’s back to outdoor eating instead of hiding wherever there is AC!
