The keynote speaker today was Dorie Greenspan, the amazing cookbook author, baker and blogger. I know all of the 300+ bloggers in the room would say she was inspirational (and totally adorable). Donuts, French Pastries and Cheese – BlogHerFood Day 2!

Day 2 of the BlogHerFood conference was definitely just as fun and jam-packed as the first day.

There were a lot of wonderful “celebrity” bloggers who came to share their experiences and offer up their advice on items like how to be (or should you be) a brand representative and write about product reviews, how to incorporate kitchen mishaps in your blog posts, and how to take better pictures in outdoor settings. Some of my favorite speakers were Jaden from Steamy Kitchen, Jessica from Sodium Girl, Elise from SimplyRecipes, and Joy from Joy the Baker. All of these ladies were funny, down to earth and had great advice and ideas to share about how they have made their blogs so successful and popular. Continue Reading...

Adventures at a Food Blogging Conference – BlogHerFood Part 1

Time to wake back up after the food coma I got in Seattle!

In case you didn’t follow my numerous Twitter posts, I spent the weekend up in Seattle at the BlogHerFood conference (turns out being on Twitter 24/7 is a sign that you are part of the in-crowd at a blogger conference. Shocking, right?).

It was so much fun. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from a blogger conference when I first walked in as this was my first blogging event. Were people going to be friendly? Would I learn anything or would everything be over my head as a still semi-newbie blogger? Who would be attending?
