As is probably evident by this entire blog and my Instagram which people repeatedly tell me makes them very hungry (that is the point! :)), I clearly like to eat. I love basically everything revolving around food – dreaming of what to eat for my next meal, learning about new restaurants in town, flipping through beautiful cookbooks, reminiscing about incredible meals I’ve eaten, the way food brings people together.
Fortunately for myself, to balance out all of my eating, I also really love to exercise. I’m not just saying that. I love the way I feel after a super hard workout, exhausted but also so happy that I was strong enough to finish it. My preferred workout choice is Crossfit. I am a member of Crossfit Pearl District and am moderately obsessed. Every day is different, which is perfect for my need of constant variety, plus I love the seriously challenging workouts and the feeling of lifting heavy weights (who says girls aren’t strong?!).
But as I mentioned with liking variety, I also throw in some running, hiking, rock climbing and BurnCycle spin for good measure.
Now, as anyone who has a regular exercise routine will tell you, clothing is important. Not just the look (which needs to be cute and preferably neon in my opinion!), but obviously fit and function need to be there too. As the name implies, Title Nine, an active wear clothing company with a store located in the Pearl District, caters to women.
In particular, they focus on high-quality, cute and functional sports bras. For sizes anywhere from an AA to DD+, they have ladies who move covered. And they want to make sure that you are wearing the one that is perfect for you.
With all that being said, I’m excited to share with you news about Title Nine’s FitFest event on June 3rd – 4th in Portland and also provide an awesome giveaway of a free sports bra from Title Nine!

This is awesome that they are giving more “support” to women. 🙂 I don’t need to take advantage of this one, but I still think the “girls” need love.

Nice! Good for you! A good bra makes that so much better too!

Hiking is definitely my favorite exercise, but since it’s more like a stroll when I go at my daughter’s pace, we recently bought an elliptical/stationary bike. Now I can exercise without arranging for a babysitter!
bakerybingo says
I’m sure that is super helpful with a little one running around. And that is great to get her out hiking already! 🙂
Christi says
Although I run quite a bit, hiking is actually my favorite activity with Stand Up Paddleboarding a close second.
Hooray for comfortable ta-tas!!
Cheers,
Christi

I had never heard about Title Nine until the past couple days, and now I definitely feel a need to check them out, especially given the first bullet point – I can trust someone who likes to eat and work out. My favorite current fitness activity is Zumba, and I had a favorite strength/weight class I used here at my current work (at my last work it was Step Class, but they don’t offer it at my current work) and am curious to see what I might get into at the gym of my new, impending work location!
bakerybingo says
Zumba always seems like a total fun time. Have you heard of Pound? I just heard about this today. It sounds kind of like Zumba but with drumming as the main exercise, so a big upper body workout. It might be up your alley!
Melinda says
I love to hike…and I’m so glad it is hiking season again!
bakerybingo says
Me too! I have a long list of hikes to do this summer, plus a few weekdays off to hopefully get a few done while it isn’t so crowded and busy!
Elle P. says
I love to go running outside.

Erin thank you so much for the shout out, great photos, and awesome blog. We were so happy to have had you in our store. Enjoy your summer. Sounds like you and Martha Chartreuse have a great thing going on Thursdays – food eating and chatting up other bloggers. Looking forward to seeing more posts.

Very cool! I wanted to join you all last Wednesday but it was my first night home after a long trip and needed the catch-up time.
I’ve tried CrossFit, kettlebells, and heavy strength training in the past 1.5 years and have settled on regular strength/CrossFit WODs in our gym garage. Plus hiking on the weekends!
bakerybingo says
I’m impressed that you do all of that in your garage! I’m too unmotivated when by myself but I love all of that!
