Perfect Summer Treat: Saint Cupcake’s Melty Goods Ice Cream

Being the total nerd that I am, I was listening to a podcast yesterday about the history of ice cream. Apparently, almost 2 BILLION yes, billion with a B) gallons of ice creams are produced each year. That’s over 5 gallons of ice cream per person. That is a lot of ice cream.

But really, who can say they don’t like ice cream? That is like saying you don’t like puppies. You are a crazy person if you don’t like puppies or ice cream. End of story.

Counter Culture 2013: A Celebration of Urban Street Food and International Wines

Whenever someone asks me what my favorite food events are, top of my list is definitely Anne Amie Vineyard‘s Counter Culture. To jump start the International Pinot Noir Celebration, Anne Amie hosts 15-20 local restaurants and 15-20 wineries from around the world. With your pass, you get to eat and drink to your heart (and stomach’s) content.

Racion, smallwares, Smith Berry Barn; One Amazing Plate and Pitchfork Dinner

It was another amazing night out at the farm with Plate and Pitchfork on July 20th. It was my husband and my 4^th wedding anniversary (where in the world did the time go?!) and I knew I wanted to celebrate by enjoying a delicious meal out, as I usually do.

I saw that two of my favorite chefs, Johanna Ware from smallwares and Anthony Cafiero from Ración were joining forces to cook at one of the most fun venues in town, Smith Berry Barn.
