What is up with this amazing weather? Is it really May and 85 degrees? (Speaking of, how is it May already?!) Not that I am complaining at all. I mean look how gorgeous this city is when there is blue skies and the sun is shining!

Guess What You’re Eating: Blind-Tasting Bingo with Nostrana

The Ecotrust organization and Edible Portland have been hosting an awesome event series the past few months called Blind-Tasting Bingo. Every month, they have a different local chef come in to prepare a multi-course dinner that everyone eats blindfolded, then guesses what the dish was, based off their bingo board options.

Last week, I attended the dinner with Cathy Whims of Nostrana and Oven + Shaker. It was such a fun, weird experience, with of course delicious food.

Since we had to eat everything blindfolded, I wasn’t able to take photos of the food. So you’ll have to just use your imagination, kind of like what I had to do when figuring out what in the world I was eating. Continue Reading...

Taste of the Nation ’13 is Almost Here!

Taste of the Nation is back! If you haven’t already, mark your calendar for Tuesday, May 7th!

5503379Last year was a total blast, filled with an enormous amount of delicious food and drinks, all provided by local proveyors. This year will likely be just the same. With 33 top-notch restaurants and 38 wineries, breweries, distilleries and beverage makers, how can you go wrong? I mean, just look at this line-up!
