Eeks! I am on a podcast!
I recently was asked to be on a clip of a podcast I really love called Right at the Fork. Chris Angelus of Portland Food Adventures and Heather Jones of Heather Jones Consulting started this podcast which includes interviews of Portland-area chefs, artisan vendors and other culinary professionals.
I ran into Chris at Feast Portland – we were both in line for Ben Bettinger’s fantastic “pop-up” at Grand Bounty. I asked him all about how he chooses interviewees and other questions about the podcast. He mentioned that they are now doing mini-podcast clips called Soundbites where they offer recommendations of food and drink places in town.
Just a short few weeks later, Heather sent me a note asking if I wanted to do a Soundbite of my own reviewing bakeries. I of course said yes and suggested doing my favorite chocolate chip cookies in Portland.
I admittedly spent hours working away on my clip. Two minutes of chatting on tape was tremendously harder than I expected it to be. I was more nervous than I thought I’d be, and as a result, a little awkward. But hopefully you will enjoy listening to it!
As for my favorite cookies? I’m going to make you listen to the podcast to find out! (I’m mean, I know).
You can listen to it here.
Also make sure to subscribe to Right at the Fork to listen to all their great episodes!
