Feast Portland is almost here! Have you purchased your tickets yet? From September 19th through the 22nd, Portland will be hosting a massive food and drink celebration with top notch chefs and food purveyors from the Rose City and around the globe. I know that people like planning ahead for holidays, but really why are there Halloween decorations out in stores already? I have nothing wrong with Halloween – it’s awesome, you get to eat a lot of candy and see people dress up in funny outfits.

But I am a firm believer in cherishing every moment of summertime, especially here in Oregon. It is only mid-August and we should enjoy all the sunshine before it leaves us for another dreaded nine months. Continue Reading...

After my rambling about Saturday’s Naked Bike Ride, I figured I’d actually post about the delicious Dessert Dim Sum Yum Yum event at Pix Patisserie.

This event is such a clever idea and was a lot of fun. Just like a regular Dim Sum restaurant, servers will come around with carts filled with 2-3 bite-sized desserts that you can happily accept or pass on. Plus, everything came with optional sherry or wine pairings. Continue Reading...
