What is a food hall, you may ask? Don’t get all worried thinking I meant food court. I mean, no one over the age of 17 wants to eat Sbarro and Panda Express in a noisy mall. But lucky for me and you, Pine Street Market is nothing like that. Instead picture a beautifully renovated historic building filled with outposts of the top restaurateurs in Portland, like Marukin, serving up ramen straight from Japan and Pollo Bravo from the Portland mastermind John Gorham. Time for Italy {Nel Centro Review}

While I’m eating my way through Rome, it seemed only fitting to have a post on Nel Centro, one of the best Italian restaurants in Portland. While it is in Hotel Modera, don’t be fooled into thinking this bland hotel food. Nel Centro makes pastas from scratch, fun cocktails and other Northern Italian inspired dishes like their house staple, beet and arugula salad with baked ricotta and toasted hazelnuts. Where to Dine Al Fresco in PDX

Well, now that we’ve hit over 100 degrees twice this month, I’d say we have officially made it to summer!

Plus summer = beautiful sunrises

Dining outside is one of my favorite ways to enjoy the warmer weather. Just picture a nice breeze of fresh air while you sip on a crisp glass of rose, overlooking the beautiful views of Mt Hood and the Willamette River. That sounds spectacular, doesn’t it?!
