Got any resolutions on the calendar for 2016? I can’t say I’m into the resolution thing as much as “goals for the new year” which include climbing South Sister and less time addicted to my iPhone. As for the whole “time to diet” bandwagon, I can say I’ve half jumped on board. I’m not one for fad diets, but I do need a restart after so many holiday parties and cookies. So I have the goal of no booze and sweets until Orlando on 1/23. Eeks, is that a terrible idea?! Probably… (Despite that, I’m in total support of this great article on eating “healthy-ish”!)
Thursday Tours: Top 5 of 2015
Wow! I can’t believe this crazy idea Meredith and I had over food/drinks/ice cream/who knows about interviewing fellow bloggers and tastemakers about their favorite Portland places has been so successful! We have now had 16 (!!!) editions of #ThursdayToursPDX on topics ranging from outdoor eating to date nights; from kid friendly places to breweries. And seriously it has been SO much fun reading the recommendations that have come in from it. To catch up on the previous posts this year, click here and here!
No Cooking Necessary: Stella’s Kitchen
StellasKitchenCo.com • @StellasKitchenCo
The other day, after our dishwasher bit the dust (ugh, who knew dishwashers were so expensive?!), my husband and I were having a conversation of household duties. Brice somewhat awkwardly said “I know you say you do, but I just want to check, you actually like making dinner, right?” I laughed, we’ve been together for so long now, I figured he would of course know I love to cook. But truth of the matter is, some days cooking is just not in the cards. With working in Hillsboro and hitting the gym in the evenings, starting to make dinner at 8pm doesn’t often sound appealing.
