My favorite part of trip planning is figuring out where to eat (like my current scheming for a trip to Santa Fe! Anyone have suggestions?!). I love doing a lot while traveling but really it’s almost all about the food for me. My suggestions will often be “first we go to this cafe for breakfast, then hit up this bakery, next late lunch here, then drinks at this cool bar, followed by dinner at this great restaurant.” The sight-seeing is sometimes just a way to work up an appetite for the next meal.

Hello! Happy Thursday to you. Did you enjoy the long weekend? I sure was excited to find out that I got an extra day – getting MLK day off is a new thing for Intel so it was a fun surprise.
I celebrated my friend Meredith‘s birthday at Muse Wine Bar on NW 23rd – I’m totally digging this place, so check it out if you haven’t been there yet! Then consequently, Sunday morning consisted of nursing a mild hangover over Pumpkin Porridge from Kure, while catching up with a friend (perhaps I shouldn’t have had that final glass of wine…whoops).
Thursday Tours: Healthy Eats
Got any resolutions on the calendar for 2016? I can’t say I’m into the resolution thing as much as “goals for the new year” which include climbing South Sister and less time addicted to my iPhone. As for the whole “time to diet” bandwagon, I can say I’ve half jumped on board. I’m not one for fad diets, but I do need a restart after so many holiday parties and cookies. So I have the goal of no booze and sweets until Orlando on 1/23. Eeks, is that a terrible idea?! Probably… (Despite that, I’m in total support of this great article on eating “healthy-ish”!)
