So I wrote this post on a flight from the air on my way to Detroit. And no, I wasn’t originally planning on going to Detroit.

I was heading home from a great trip to New York City for my friend Elke’s wedding and a fun girls weekend with my good friend Laura. And of course, I ended up with the worst flight luck ever – a delayed flight then a rerouted flight to Detroit because Chicago where my layover was scheduled to be was experiencing thunderstorms. Lucky me.

Peanut Butter Brownie Pie with Pretzel Crust!

No, but really how good does that pie sound? Awesome, right?! I love the idea of mixing chocolate with something salty, and I am slightly obsessed with peanut butter so adding that to anything is good by me. Hence my instant love for this pie.

As I mentioned in my earlier blog post, I got a copy of Teeny’s Tour of Pie to check out. I first made a really delicious Strawberry-Rhubarb Pie from her cookbook so I was excited to try another recipe as well.

Brice was skeptical at first. He was unsure about the whole idea of a “pretzel crust,” which was somewhat similar to a graham cracker crust using mashed up pretzels. And he also didn’t really know about the whole brownie in a pie aspect. Continue Reading...

I feel lucky to have a family that loves to travel as much as I do.

My parents took me on a lot of fabulous trips growing up which helped instill my love of seeing new places in the world. My brother and his wife are currently living in Japan. Brice’s parents had been spending the last 13 months in SE Asia, just traveling around and enjoying life (ahh, the luxuries of being retired!).
