I’ve had Fleur de Lis Bakery on my list for a while as I’ve enjoyed their baguettes at restaurants in town (I wish I could remember which ones). But ever since I went to Eb & Bean (read about that here!) where I got some incredible fro yo topped with some delicious cinnamon sugar donuts from Fleur de Lis, I was even more adamant about checking it out.

Holy cow. In just 4 months now, Brice and I will be starting our 10-week journey through Asia! As a refresher, we both work at Intel which offers an incredible sabbatical program where you get an extended vacation of 8 weeks, plus whatever other vacation you have saved up. We are heading off this fall to explore all sorts of places in Asia. I’ve never traveled that long nor have I ever taken that much time off work or school since probably 8th grade, so it will be quite the adventure!

Whenever I tell people that I do Crossfit, I often get asked if I also follow the Paleo diet. (If you don’t know what that is, you’re basically supposed to eat like a caveman with only grassfed meats, vegetables and limited fruit. Sounds boring, right?) Usually my response is to laugh, I write a blog about bakeries after all. So no, I definitely do not cut out sweets, chocolates, and certainly not carbs.
